Yes. Neil Nitin Mukesh of Johnny Gaddaar fame has literally dropped his pants for his upcoming film, Jail. Could it be his desperation after his last film Aa Dekhen Zara failed to click with the masses or is it his bid to ensure his next film’s initials?
Directed by controversy-conscious Madhur Bhandarkar, this film is part of his series on real-life drama after Fashion, Traffic Signal, Page 3, Corporate and Chandni Bar.
He has been successful in the entire series, except for Traffic Signal (2007) that vanishes without a trace. But Madhur did come back with Fashion (2008) and is readying for Jail (2009) and Corporate 2 (2010).
Bhandarkar himself is leading quite a colourful life. Accused of resorting to the casting couch with wannabe actress Preeti Jain who claimed that she slept with him for almost five years in the hope that he would one day cast her in his film and tie the knot. His name has been cleared since, but one wonders if Preeti was taking Bhandarkar for a ride or the other way around.
As for Nitin’s Jail, one can expect fireworks as Jail by itself is a mini India that mirrors the troubles and travails plaguing human society.
